ABOUT: CPT1 Program

How long does the program take?
Most students complete the program in 2–3 months, depending on attendance, pace, and exam readiness.

Do I need medical experience?
No prior experience is required. We train you from the ground up.

When do I pay the full amount?
You can reserve your seat with a $250 deposit. The remaining balance is paid during the program.

What happens after I finish?
After completing training and passing the certification exam, you can apply for CPT I licensure and begin working in healthcare settings.

The phlebotomy program consists of the following:

  • 40 hours of didactic instruction

  • 40 hours of clinical training experience.

  • Completing the phlebotomy program and passing the national exam will lead to licensure as Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I).

  • Once all program related costs are paid on time you will then be eligible to take the exam and attend clinical.

The Phlebotomy Program is an accelerated course designed for serious students committed to becoming a licensed phlebotomist. Success in this program requires discipline, independence, active participation, and consistent note-taking.

While enrolled, students are required to communicate with the program via email only for the following purposes:

  • Subject: Passed Exam
To notify the school of successful exam completion and be placed on the clinical placement list. A clinical schedule will be provided. If declined, the student will be scheduled for the next available opportunity, which may occur sooner or later than the initial offering.

  • Subject: Completed Clinical
To notify the school of clinical completion so that final paperwork can be reviewed and processed for program completion and eligibility to apply for the CPT-1 license.

    Clinical Placement Availability
Clinical placement is based on site availability and student volume. In the Los Angeles area, placement timelines may range from approximately 1 week up to 3 months or longer. Students who decline an offered placement will be scheduled for the next available opportunity, which may be sooner or later than the original placement.

    Communication Policy
Please allow 24–48 hours for a response before sending a follow-up email. Due to high volume, response times may extend up to 1 week. Enrollment in the program does not permit unlimited email communication. Most information is provided on the school website and during class instruction. Students are expected to act independently and are responsible for completing all requirements accurately. Errors in submitted paperwork may delay certificate processing.

    Paperwork Accuracy Requirement
Students are responsible for submitting complete and accurate paperwork. Incomplete or incorrect submissions may be returned for correction and can delay certificate processing. Depending on volume and resubmission timelines, delays may extend up to 30 days.

    Student-Secured Clinical Sites
Students may submit their own clinical site for approval. Approval is not guaranteed, no timeline is provided, and denied sites will not be discussed.
